Matt Peacock, Partners in Hope (PIH) executive director, recognized at the beginning of 2014 that one of the missing elements of PIH was opportunity for continued engagement with the families served.

Matt also decided to focus energy on establishing a stronger connection with the churches in the Lake Travis/Spicewood communities.

Out of these two desires Matt began to see a way to accomplish both at the same time—Eat, Pray, Love fellowships.

Matt thinks the name—Eat, Pray, Love accurately describes the nature of these gatherings. We eat together, pray for one another and love on each other.

PIH invites all the families that they have served to attend. The casual environment makes it easier for the families to feel comfortable. Many of these families have not been in a church for years if ever.

Area churches volunteer to host a Eat, Pray, Love fellowship once during the year. This allows the faith community an opportunity to partner with PIH while loving on these families in a tangible way.

The Acts Church Lakeway hosted the May fellowship. And Marshal Ford Fellowship along with a small group from Austin Stone hosted the June one.

Some of the families have begun to attend church again because of the warm time of fellowship at these gatherings.

The next Eat, Pray, Love fellowship is scheduled in mid-August at Emmaus Catholic Church.
