About Eat, Pray, Love
Let us consider how we can stir up one another to love. Let us help one another to do good works. And let us not give up meeting together. Hebrews 10:24-25
Partners in Hope is a Lake Travis ministry that connects people who desire physical, emotional, and spiritual help with people who will help.
What makes us different? Unlike ministries that organize a crisis response to a housing emergency, Partners in Hope helps families by working to improve living conditions, walking through a season of life, and empowering them to transform over time.
“Dining with one’s friends and beloved family is certainly one of life’s primal and most innocent delights, one that is both soul-satisfying and eternal.” Julia Child
The idea behind Eat, Pray Love is to combine food with fellowship so that all those participating can experience the oldest act of community – sharing a meal. We invite family, friends, and guests to join us. Strangers attend our dinners, but people connected by a common desire to be part of the Lake Travis community go home afterwards feeling encouraged and motivated to grow new friendships. Families from end to end of the lake – Spicewood to Marshall Ford – gather regularly on the fourth Sunday of the month from 4:30-6pm hosted by a different local church.
Because all of us have the need to be part of something outside of ourselves, we encourage all of the families we have helped in the last six years to attend. Each and every one of us has the ability, if we are willing, to give encouragement and experience fellowship. God made us to interact with each other in a loving, positive way, and EPL is a wonderful opportunity to do just that!
